  This machine is relatively easy to put together, 4 screws with a Phillips, and 4 twist on knobs. Changing out from dethatcher to scarifier blades only takes a minute using the included Allen key.
  
  Operation is pretty straightforward, the only really annoying part being the power cord dragging behind and getting in the way.
  
  Functionally, it did reach down fairly well to dethatch, it picked up more fresh grass than thatch. It mentions to pre-mow on the lowest setting for scarifying, but not so for raking (maybe it was assumed in the instructions, but not stated), I would suggest also mowing on a low setting before raking to get better performance.
  
  The main point on low performance is that the grass clipping collector does practically nothing, just heaps of grass are being left behind that I’m going to have to come back over and pick up.
  
  Owing to the convenience factors of cord and clipping pickup, I don’t think it’ll be a regularly used tool. Maybe every few years to dethatch instead f monthly as suggested.
