- Reviewed in Canada on May 22, 2025I did not expect too much from this BUGANI Free B15 open ear headphone at a $69.99 price, but I was wrong, these earbuds are packed with features. Unboxing, I can quickly paired these headphone with my iPhone 15 and immediately listen to high fidelity music from my Apple Music library. I found the maximum volume is set at a safe level not to damage hearing, nicely done, since the touch volume control on the earbud is not easy for precise volume control.
The best feature of language translation of these earbuds can only be enabled by scanning the NebulaBuds App and Activation QR code from the included info card. First, download the NebulaBuds App from the App store and follow the activation procedures, be patient and read all the fine prints and follow the step by step procedures and you are good to go. On the home page, select "Simultaneous Interpretation" , select the language you want to translate on the top menu and click the RED button to start recording and you are ready to hear the translation of the selected language into English (English being the base language you have selected during Activation). I asked my wife to speak in her Filipino dialog to me and I can hear the translation in my earbuds in clear precise English after 2 to 3 seconds lag time, longer lag time is needed for longer conversation translation. There are 40 languages and 93 accents to select from for translation into English. The translated conversation is also display as a text format and uploaded to Cloud storage incase you are speaking and listening in a noisy environment, very cool. Also, you can choose "Earbuds + Phone" mode to allow the other party to speak into the phone in their language and you will hear the translation in your earbuds, or, select "Dual Ear Mode" by sharing earbud with the person you want to hear the translation from. Further, there is a a Meeting Recording mode for text recording only and an Audio and Video calls mode you can invite others to video chat from their language into English on your phone.
I am very happy with how easy these earbuds can be used as a translator at a very affordable price. The only feature I wish these earbuds will include is noise canceling for a peaceful sleep during plane travel which is not available in these earbuds.
