  Got this for a grandmother who has difficulty bending over to put her shoes on, I thought this could have been helpful for her to carry around for when she visits people and needs to take her shoes off and on again. However, screwing the different parts on and off is really difficult for an old lady as it's really tight and doesn't screw on smoothly.
  
  As for the durability, I'm not sure yet. I tried it myself before gifting it to make sure I wasn't giving her a piece of crap and let's just say I'm not 100% sure it will last for many years. The plastic bends quite easily but not very much, which makes me feel like it could easily snap if you accidentally used this product wrong and applied some force on it.
