  I've purchased a few less pricey slide scanners over the years (total waste) as I have a large amount of old negatives and slides I want to transfer to digital format and it would cost me thousands to pay to have it done (not including touch-ups and no guarantee as to the quality) I am pleased to say the Epson V600 met my expectations and I am now in the process of restoring old family photos (ones I didn't even think "could" be salvaged) Setup was quick and easy, takes a bit of testing to find the best settings in the software (still working on that) but scans faster than I expected and the restoration/dust removal for old slides from the 70's is good, I'm happy with this purchase (Finally!)
