I bought these after having my ring sent in to be resized. I'd ordered a size 9 and really should have ordered a 7.5. Before sending it in though I lost some more weight and was debating on what size to make make it. I was worried if I left it at 7.5 it would be to loose and I could lose it, but at the same time I was worried that if I put some weight back on or in the summer heat I retained water it could then be too tight. So to make life easier I bought these and am super happy that I did!

First, I want to say that in my opinion there are two styles of these in two sizes. I say this because two of them have a thinner and rounder loop then the other two, which are a thicker and flatte loop. I also don't think this would work if you have a major size difference. For me it was only maybe a difference of my ring being 0.25 bigger. I think anything more than 1 to 1.5 size difference might be too much for these to work with.

So when my ring came back I tried the smallest of the thinner loop ones and wrapped it around so there were four full loops around the ring. With this I found the ring still turned around on my finger and slid a very tiny bit especially when washing and drying my hands. Also because it didn't go all the way across the band I was able to notice it a bit; nothing uncomfortable just noticeable. I'm sure with time I would have stopped noticing it. If I got fidgety with the ring or occasionally after washing my hands it would start to unravel a bit but I think if I'd cut it a little further up on the start of the new loop this wouldn't have happened. You want to have it so both ends are under the ring to help stop this.

During the few weeks of wearing it I have not seen any discolouration. I'm sure that taking it off and washing it with some toothpaste (especially whitening toothpaste) on occasion will help keep this from happening or keep it from happening to quick if it does. I also recommend taking your rings off when putting on cream (even if you aren't using these) which should help with any possible discolouring.

Last night I switched to the smaller of the thicker/flatter style. Four full rings around the ring and it isn't sliding or turning at all - not even with washing and drying my hands. I've also watched where I cut it to MAKE SURE THE ENDS ARE BOTH UNDER THE RING to keep it from unraveling. I also don't notice this one on my finger probably because it goes a little further up both sides of the ring or maybe because it is a bit flatter loop.

Before cutting them I tried it on with the remaining just hanging off to the side to make sure it fit right. I did notice the first time that it was a bit lose but wasn't worried. I changed it out because the warmer weather is coming and I will be in and around water more so I don't want to even chance it being to lose and coming off. I just put the original piece back in the bag it came in so I have it for possible future use.

I always take my rings off before putting cream on my hands so I haven't had any issues with cream getting stuck between the loops. Nothing else has gotten stuck either. My hair doesn't catch when I run my hands through it either.

The nice thing is you get a reasonable amount of each kind and size to try out so if you cut it wrong or it gets gross looking you can make another one.

I definitely recommend it and I even had my mom try it on her one ring that is spinning around and she liked it too.

I'd rather use this and keep my ring from sliding around then chance losing it or taking it in to be resized for small changes.
