Customer Review

Overall it鈥檚 a really nice laptop. High end look, feel and specs. Compact and portable. Light. All metal casing is nice. The keyboard is outstanding. I also bought the 16inch model to compare and returned it as the 14 seems to perform better for gaming. Having said that, is this worth the price? Somewhat. It鈥檚 new with the new generation chips and whatnot, but there are other laptops in 2025 with similar specs for almost 1000 dollars cheaper and a larger screen. I was debating sending this back for the 2023 G14 and upgrading the ram myself and saving 1300 for comparable specs and performance. But I opted to go with future proofing by a couple more years and sticking with this. The screen is nice. Altho the lid does not open 180 degrees so be careful not to force it back too far. I installed COD Warzone first as it鈥檚 a game that鈥檚 high-demand on resources. With settings all set to high, it played alright. Not as smoothly as on console and tv, oddly, as this has better specs. Maybe I don鈥檛 know what I鈥檓 doing because I lowered the graphics settings and it still played about the same. There wasn鈥檛 much fan noise and it was hardly noticeable so it runs quietly. It got warm installing big games but never too not. Good port selection and slot for micro SD card is a nice bonus. Battery life is not good, but that鈥檚 to be expected on a compact gaming laptop. I鈥檒l have to get DOOM or something to really assess the graphics performance of the new 5070ti GPU and can update review come then. All in all, it鈥檚 worth the extra money if you want a metal case, premium keyboard. Decent speakers for its size. Good cooling for its size. Good display.
