  Like most people I grew up using these pencils and back then I was satisfied with them. Now that I’m older and taking art more seriously I can’t say that. First off, I’m unsure if it’s due to the fact that they were shipped to me versus being purchased in the store but at least half of these pencils kept breaking when sharpening. This is especially true for the black pencil which was about 1/3 of its original size by the time I was done. For the price though, I don’t think that the quality is too bad. The pigments are good, especially if used on good paper.
