I had an old GE timer on my hot water heater and it stopped working after 7-8 years. It was expensive and an absolute beast to program. So I saw this unit and decided to give it a try. It wires up the same as my old GE timer. The programming was easy and I said to my wife 鈥榯his just seems too easy鈥. The final stage when activating the program to take over was easy. I just had a problem reading the small print in the diagram which shows as 鈥榦n鈥 in one diagram and 鈥榦ff鈥 in the second diagram which are side by side in the instructions. At first I couldn鈥檛 see the difference between the two images. But overall I would buy again with no reservations. If you are in a poorly lit area (like my furnace/heater room) you will need a light shinning on the led screen to help make the programming easier. (GE had the same problem).
