  For the money it is a respectable sound system. Since my TV is also a Sony, it is totally compatible and especially easy to set up. It can be connected via HDMI ARC, optical, or bluetooth. It is also controlled by the TV remote, but has its own for fine tuning if desired. As well, it can be controlled by the flush mounted controls on the top of the unit. The wireless subwoofer does not quite have the punch of a more robust unit, but is still good and immediately connects to the sound bar as soon as plugged in and turned on. Especially if on sale, this unit is well worth it.
