Pros: * Very easy and safe to install * Can trap and kill mice * Reusable
Cons: * Maybe could be more sensitive...? The mouse we caught had time to eat all the peanut butter that was inside the (full) bait cup, but still it worked.
Long story: We suspected some funny business frome mice in the attic, so I decided to lay some traps. It was my first time at this so I picked two models: a glue trap and these more traditional spring traps. I set two of each kind in the attic, all four with peanut butter bait.
The first night, a mouse escaped from one of the glue traps, but the other glue trap worked. Another mouse was caught and killed by one of the spring traps, although the mouse had time to eat all the peanut butter that was filling the bait cup, which makes me think the trap might not be as sensitive as it should...? (Although the other spring trap was not triggered and its peanut butter was untouched...). We'll see if we catch more mice or if the peanut butter get eaten for free... I'll update.
