Customer Review

Forewarning: I ended up returning this to 鶹. The scanning quality on this is GREAT. It even includes a tool for scanning negatives, and has something called "ICE Technology" which fills in imperfections like rips on your photographs. However, this is a flatbed scanner so you will have to load each photograph individually. Depending on the resolution you choose (it can scan at up to 6400 x 9600 dpi!), you can be waiting either 2 seconds or several hours. Yes - scanning at a high resolution with ICE enabled can result in a scan time of SEVERAL HOURS. Mind you, this will result in an image with an epic file size but one of incredible quality. However, don't expect a lightning fast machine with ICE enabled. This also has a feature (if you use their software) that lets you place several different photos on the bed, and it will separate them into individual files. I found this feature to be VERY finicky, and it often scanned two separate images as one. The placement on the flatbed has to be rather precise, or it won't be successful in scanning several photos at once. These issues led me to return the scanner to 鶹 - but overall, if you won't make use of the extra features and want a simple desk scanner, this could be for you. However, if that's all you need, lesser priced options may be sufficient.
