All good until the camera gives me an SD card error not because there is something wrong with the card but because the camera overheats! Literally burning! The SD card was format 512 GB and the camera kept giving me an error. Untill I touched the camera to take the SD card out.The media could not be loaded.
It almost burned my finger. Took the card out and the card was burning! It was so hot I had to place them on the aircondion ventilation to cool down.
I started checking the camera daily after this incident and unfortunately it overheats only after a few minutes on regular driving mode.
Very disappointing for a dash cam that is one of the most expensive on the market right now.
I am considering to return it and try another brand if I can find one with parking mode.
I wouldn't buy it if I knew about the overheating issues.
Update July 28 2024.
After excessive overheating now the SD card (80 dollars of worth 512 GB) is not working anymore. It probably got burned out. Customer support did contact me after my initial review about overheating issues and the solution they offered to me was a 30 or 60 dollar partial refund!!! Unbelievable! 500$ for the camera, plus the vantrue cable plus the SD card. And all they had to say was 30 or 60 dollars refund.
Again the quality of the recording is great, but if I need new SD cards every month because of overheating, I wouldn't recommend this product.
