- Reviewed in Canada on March 14, 2025This is the best Wireless CarPlay Adapter for Apple iPhone which I have come across so far. It is very sleek and small. It looks a bit like one of those flip top metal lighters of old but it is actually even smaller than one of those.
What can I say? This is basically plug and play. Take the top off and you will reveal the USB-A connector which you then just plug into your USB-A compatible port in your vehicle and you get instant Apple CarPlay. Please take note pf course that your car must have the built-in CarPlay already. This device is just to enable wireless CarPlay in those vehicles which do not have wireless where you are required to plug in your phone in order to access CarPlay.
What I like about this device is its compactness. It does not take very much room and it is unlikely that you will have any trouble plugging this into your vehicles port regardless of the configuration. Many of these devices are a dongle type where you have the dongle plus there is a cable with the USB-A. Sometimes these are cumbersome just because of the cable attached to the dongle and you then need to squeeze it all into a small space, depending of course on the configuration of your vehicle's USB-A port. I find that with others, there is just too much of it and many times, the cable is short and stiff, thereby not allowing you to place it in a small confined space or then it is sticking out, not looking good at all. This is just a comparison. You won't have any of these issues with this device. Just take a look at my photos to see how compact this device would be in your vehicle.
Once it's plugged in, just connect it to your phone via Bluetooth. Acknowledge the pairing request and it's done. You need only pair it once. The next time you get into the car, you will have automatic CarPlay upon starting your vehicle.
If you have been looking for a device like this, this is the one to get. I would highly recommend it.
