  Chalk pen works great on cotton & flannel woven fabrics. I haven't used it on stretch fabric yet, but I am confident in how it would handle that too. I am able to get more percise markings with this--it works like an invisible pen, but i prefer this chalk to ink pens because I find even invisible ink markings sometimes are difficult to come off.
