  Well...to be fair, I didn't purchase this as a thermometer. I bought it to be a cat toy, and in that respect, I give it five stars. Sure, I can aim it at random things throughout the house, and get a temperature reading, but do I care? No. It provides endless entertainment for the cat, and my beagle to boot. I didn't expect HIM to get in on the fun, but he did. Bonus!
  
  I am looking forward to shooting the truck with it on a chilly January morning just to see if the vehicle is at -45 degrees too. I wonder how warm the heated seats REALLY get? Sure feels nice and cozy on my posterior when it's freakin' cold out...maybe i'll find out.
