  These pencils crayons are different in that they are a thicker tip. They are great for a heavier fill colour, but to do more fine and small work they are a bit thicker. I first saw these pencil crayons in a grade one classroom and the students loved using them and since they are much thinner than a regular crayon they had a bit more control. They take longer to colour in parts of a colouring page but do a good job. I used them with my regular crayola pencil crayons and my soft type pencils crayons. A good buy
