I assume if you are on this page you have already seen this great movie and just want to know about the Blu-ray disc. So I won't review the movie here (if you haven't seen this movie yet... you have missed a gem!). This is the movie that got De Niro starting doing comedies (for good or bad!). The picture and sound quality is simply excellent for an 80's movie (2K remastering). The bonus features include new interviews with De Niro, John Ashton, Joe Pantoliano, Charles Grodin and George Gallo (screenwriter). The interviews are SPOT ON which offer great insights into the movie and its casting, etc. De Niro's interview is the least interesting. As you know, getting him to talk is like pulling teeth! His interview is about 8 minutes, half of which is filled with "fillers" (i.e. clips from the movie and someone talking about the plot, as if we don't know the story!). But the other interviews are longer and so full of anecdotes, their personal views, and other trivia. For example, how during the casting many of the candidates auditioning for the parts were so in awe of De Niro that they messed up and blew their chances! John Ashton's is my favorite one (make sure you watch until the end of that one!). Grodin is so funny in the interview and his casting was the right one (instead of the proposed Robin Williams and Cher). Apparently, De Niro had said either Grodin or no one! Incidentally, both Grodin and Ashton say that this is their favorite movie. Highly Recommended!
