- Reviewed in Canada on October 11, 2020I mounted the alarm on my box type rear pannier using zip ties threaded through the fabric. The pannier is black (not grey as the photo shows) so the alarm is well hidden behind the seat. No need to use the double back tape supplied. Also the alarm can easily be removed if needed by cutting the ties from within the pannier.
Alarm fairly easy to set up except the instructions are difficult to understand as they are Chinese translated to English. It is necessary to read them over many times to get the meaning.
The alarm comes with a plastic tab that has to be removed so the batteries will function. A Phillips (star) screw driver is supplied to remove a small screw in order to access the batteries. A regular (spade) screw driver is needed to pry the two sections of the alarm apart to get at the batteries. This screw driver is not provide although a small plastic waffer is included for this purpose, but there is no way it will work as the two pieces fit very tightly together.
All in all I like this alarm. It is fairly loud and can also be used as a warning alarm when approaching pedestrians.
