The outer shell is hard nylon. unfortunately to me it looked like it was hard plastic when I was checking it out on the page. But upon receiving it it is just that black foam nylon material that is used for sunglass cases sometimes, binoculars and or other types of electronic devices. so its not as expected. its fine. my friends kid has a switch so i can gift this to him at christmas time since it does not meet the standard i was expecting.
its a nice product. the quality is there. its just not the material i like to use with electronics. im a worry wart. i see how much water damages electronics. i would prefer a hard plastic shell and a rubber seal around the open occlusions to be extra safe. i鈥檓 just peculiar about that kind of stuff. If you鈥檙e not particular then I鈥檓 sure you will love this, it is a pretty great item. There鈥檚 so many pockets for the games ! I love it for that. Keeps everything organized well. And I mean those little game cartridges are so small. One year we were at the hotel and one of the kids lost their game and we searched and searched and searched the whole room. I finally found it. it had fallen into the garbage can. Thankfully I was smart enough to check there. If we had a proper case like this one that game would not have got misplaced.
