  I am used to the small (diameter) straws, so when I first started using these they seemed really wide, but I am used to them now. Being glass, they need to be made thicker, obviously. I was given stainless steel straws and I did prefer the size, but they grossed me out 'cause you could not tell if they were clean, even though I knew they were clean, couldn't do it. So I got these and they are great, I don' know how many times I have dropped these in the sink and not a scratch on them (not a visible one, anyways). Did not need this many straws, but the price was right. If I ever did need more straws, I would order these again.
