Needles are pretty much exactly as described. The needles themselves are a decent length (they're not like the Knit Picks shorts or anything), cord itself is 20.5"/51 cm. I'm guessing they list it as 80 cm due to including the length of the needle itself, but the cord isn't 80 cm so just make sure you don't buy these expecting to be able to fit a larger project on them.
Biggest and pretty much only downside is that the sizes are not indicated on them. It's not difficult to hold them side-by-side to figure it out, but I'll likely end up putting nail polish on them and use a legend to keep track of which is which. The needle-cord transition is fairly smooth, no issues so far with yarn snagging. It's also hard to tell in the photos, but the needles have a slight bend to them. Where they taper, there's a bit of a change in angle. It's not an issue, just wasn't expecting it, just means your cord and needles will prefer to be held a certain way.
Cord is also like a metal cable, it's not terribly flexible and I suspect it would kink or possibly even break if it were to be bent too much. It's definitely not like some circulars where the cord is almost like a soft flexible rubber. Great purchase for beginners or anyone wanting to keep costs down.
