  My Roku "smart" TV was apparently too old to play my HEVC/H.265 video files. This media player was the exact solution I needed. It's funny how I didn't even know such a thing existed until I searched for it.
  
  It does everything I need it to do: plays my .mkv files, displays subtitles, and can shuffle the order in which the files play. The remote requires AAA batteries, which aren't included so have those on hand if you plan on buying this.
  
  Can read USB drives up to 8TB and MicroSD up to 1.TB. BUT, I used a 1.5TB MicroSD inserted into a USB reader and it worked just fine.
  
  That's about it. Imma go marathon my favorite childhood cartoons now. 👍
