- Reviewed in Canada on June 8, 2018I'm really pleased with this ladies toolkit! The quality is better than I expected and the tools are all really versatile! Not to mention, the colour is super cute and many of the tools have shiny or metallic embellishments, which makes it that much prettier! As a lady who "wears the pants" in my house (and does all of the repairs and DIY), I know this toolkit is going to get a lot of use!
Some things I really like about it:
- There's wire embedded in the top of the toolkit where the zipper is, which means that the bag can be propped open very easily. It will sit sturdily on your desk or the floor without closing, sagging or falling over. The bottom has a solid piece in it as well which means that part stays flat whether the bag is open or closed, which is great.
- Great quality stitching and the material itself seems sturdy and like it will hold up to a lot of use. The zipper is also really strong so I feel that it will last.
- I love the outside pockets and the snap closure. It means I can store even more tools on the outside of the bag for easy accessibility. The inside of the bag also has several pockets, so it will help me to stay organized and be able to quickly reach for whatever tool I need.
- Everything came well packaged. The bag itself was wrapped up, the tools inside were wrapped in foam, and then many of the individual tools inside that had additional plastic packaging or additional boxed packaging. You can tell that a lot of care was taken so everything would arrive safely and in great shape.
- The scissors glide really smoothly. They aren't crappy cheap quality scissors - they feel like they will hold up well. And I'm really picky about scissors.
- The hammer feels heavy and high-quality, like it can handle a good pounding :P Which is obviously what you want, right?
- The x-acto knife has lots of safety features so that the blade doesn't come out and cut you, or so you don't accidentally leave it out when you're not needing it. It also makes it child-proof so you don't have to worry about any accidents.
- The flashlight is super cute! I like how it's shiny and metallic and has engraved details. Very high quality and I love that it's included at all, as I feel like it will be really useful, and many tool kits I've looked at don't even include a flashlight at all. Note that it doesn't come with batteries, so you'll have to install those.
- My favourite part? The tape measure. It's not only really adorable and well-made, but the tape measure actually stays out automatically when you pull it, without you having to push a button or have someone else hold it. You can be an independent lady and do it all on your own! ;) Instead, it has a useful button that you push when you want it to go back inside. WAY more useful - I don't know why all tape measures don't work like that. I'll be using this one all the time now.
So overall, I'm super happy with this purchase. It's definitely worth the money and I'm going to get a ton of use out of this!
