麻豆区 Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I鈥檝e been looking to add some better storage in the cabinet under my kitchen sink, but other organizing draws haven鈥檛 worked because of their fixed sizes. This expandable sliding drawer has been a great solution as I was able to configure it to occupy the maximum amount of space. It鈥檚 well made with smooth sliders that makes it a good functioning and practical solution.
The drawer comes completely assembled though you do have to add 3-4 screws to hold things in place once you鈥檝e figured out both the width and depth that you want. They supply the nuts and bolts you need, as well as a small screwdriver. You don鈥檛 need a wrench as the nuts are designed to dig into the frame, and getting everything locked into place was a 2-minute job at most.
They also provide three thick and strong adhesive strips to secure the drawer to whatever shelf you鈥檙e using it with. When I first saw this product I was a bit skeptical that the strips would hold the drawer in place, especially once it was fully loaded up with supplies. However, the adhesive is holding well and I was pleased to see everything stayed secure so hopefully it will last. They also provide screws if you want to secure the sliders to your shelf in a more permanent way, but of course that will leave holes so I鈥檝e opted to try the adhesive for now.
If there is one thing that could use improvement it鈥檚 the rigidity of the sides of the drawer. The sliders have a 鈥渓ocked鈥 position when the drawer is fully retracted and it requires some extra force to pull it free. When applying that force there is a fair bit of flex to the front side, especially because I have the drawer set to the maximum width. The drawer does end up disengaging from the slider lock before anything serious happens to the side, but it鈥檚 a rather unpleasant action as I was worried I might end up warping or bending the side.
Overall, this is a nice sliding drawer solution. Price wise it seems a bit high as I see other expandable draw products that are two thirds the cost or offer two drawers for the price this is selling as a single drawer. However, I鈥檓 not sure of the quality of those products while I can attest that this all-metal drawer is very sturdy and has great, smooth operating sliders. Therefore, it would be good to do some comparison shopping but know that if you get this you鈥檙e getting a good product.
