Despite the box showing up in perfect condition, some of the parts were warped either due to production issues or how they were packed in the box. The camshaft had a definite bend in it that affected the ability for the pushrods to function correctly. Was able to get it back in alignment good enough to function. The oil pan was also noticeably warped.
Instructions sometimes fail to highlight very important steps that affect later function and in some cases parts fit both ways and the instructions are not specific enough to make it obvious which way is the right way (until sometime later when something else doesn't fit). I was able to modify things without too much difficulty and am happy with the end product.
