- Reviewed in Canada on August 29, 2022Bought to put into an emergency bag. Tested hard before committing to put into a bag that may need to be used in "ADVERSE" conditions some day. Axe is well balanced and very very Sharp, Hammer is just big enough to be used for Various functions including tent peg pounding etc... Pilers are extremely well built they close evenly and tight with next to no slop, the wire cutters actually cut wire go figure ! knife and saw portion are scary sharp cutting with next to zero effort, same as the file portion its very very hard and cuts easily. Whistle on the ferro rod is very very LOUD which is what you want... Ferro rod does what it should (once you scrape the protective coating off) it throws big hot sparks to start a fire..
Double Sheath is a great idea keeping the sharp edge of the mini axe protected while you use the other tools etc... Even better is the addition of 3 mini screwdriver bits that magnetically snap into the head and make it a breeze to use !
I placed an order for 3 additional units, to put 1 in each of our 2 vehicles and a spare to keep in my wife's evacuation bag !
Well built, functional and durable ! A truly great purchase.
