  Being a HUGE fan of the original, it was a tough sell for this one. Lots and lots of CGI at times was great recreation, other times not so much, I.e. airplanes don't slide sideways while flying.. Don't fly like insects. Was a bit disappointed that they did not emphasis the historical figures of the story more... had to listen very closely to know who was playing who. Also tries to show Pearl Harbor, Doolittle Raid, Coral Sea and Midway attacks/battles/campaigns, but don't tell them all well, due to compacting them into the movie. The original with Heston will always live on as classic telling of the story of Midway. Which one is more truly factual, not for me to say here!
