  Updated review. More successful repairs and it remains to be seen if the mechanism is durable. I’ve read other reviews concerning poor standards of construction but so far so good.
  
  I recommend this product. I needed to refurbish / repair cds - some many years old.
  I repaired one disc that had several skip areas. Read and followed the instructions. Clearly described steps to be followed and precautions to be taken.
  Perfect result with one treatment.
