- Reviewed in Canada on March 19, 2025On the product images the lid is clearly transparent but the actual unit has a solid black lid which is why I'm giving this a lower score. It's a fairly solid player but it's one of the reasons I bought this so I'm pretty disappointed there.
The actual player itself is decent. It feels pretty cheap, but it's pretty inexpensive so it's hard to knock it much for that. It's very small which I really like, it's not much bigger than a CD case. My goal was to use this as a CD player only by using an HDMI audio extractor to get the audio to a nice DAC via tolink or coaxial and for that purpose it works well. It's not the best CD player though as the display does not say which track you're on, but otherwise it's solid in as a CD player.
Really I would have given this player a 4 or 5 but the false advertising really got me angry. I might return it for the white versions I've seen on 鶹 as it looks like they do have a transparent lid from the customer photos
