  Update: seller saw this review and offered me a full refund. Very classy. Added a star for customer service.
  
  I don’t think these will last through the summer and either way, the grackles aren’t scared of them at all. Ditto the other birds (which aren’t pooping in our pool, so we don’t care what they’re doing) such as robins and mourning doves. For some reason these just aren’t bothering any of them.
