  This tape does appear to be as sticky as it claims. However, rather ironically, it isn't "flexible" at all. It's very rigid and can only really be applied across a single surface. In my case, I had a single drip on a piece of PVC (a joint) that I just wanted to seal off until I can get a chance to cut it out and put in a new part. But the tape:
  a) doesn't bend around pipes or any object on an angle very well - it leaves huge gaps that can't be pushed down, due to the stiffness of the tape, and
  b) isn't able to smoothly transition from one level of pipe to the other (the joint)
  
  Might serve some purposes that are low pressure. But certainly wasn't useful to me.
