- Reviewed in Canada on May 17, 2024I've had these for almost a year (maybe longer) so I can comment pretty thoroughly on them. They are very easy to use, virtually idiot proof, and they're sturdy. I've dropped these a few times while unplugging and such and they easily withstood the fall. They're pretty water resistant too, which I wasn't expecting, and they're tightly sealed around.
The light sensor is quite sensitive, lighting up dimly even in just low light scenarios. But the response time is great. In the bathroom, when the main light is switched off, this turns on immediately at full brightness.
Which brings me to the only reason this is 4 instead of 5 stars: they're just way too bright for a nightlight inside a bedroom. They are great for hallways and kitchen counters for that late night snack. Just 1 of these in my mainfloor bathroom gives off enough light to navigate the entire first floor area.
But in my toddler room? nope, waaaaaaaay too bright. I had to use a piece of opaque plastic taped onto it to dim the light enough. I do wish future models will include maybe a level 1, 2, 3 brightness switch.
