  I had originally purchased this item to mount an iPad mini six in my airplane.
  
  Unfortunately, it has a smaller ball size than the 1 inch that I require for my mount.
  
  Because it appears to be well-made, I will keep it as an extra amount for one of our vehicles.
  
  I suggestion would be too indicate the size of the ball in the items description.
