  I bought these clay self-watering spikes after going through a load of searched and reviews while hunting for something that would keep my plants watered while i was away on a 2 week vacation. Safe to say these watering spikes worked like a charm. The soil was still the right type of moist when I got back.
  
  Tip: Use Wine bottles as they work best. I tried using plastic 1.5ltr pop bottles and those let way too much water out. I noticed the wine bottles or any bottle with a longer neck including the VOS water bottles work best.
