- Reviewed in Canada on April 26, 2023Just got this today, and I have to say, I'm really impressed! I don't have a Smart TV, so I send an Extended Screen from my Win 10 PC to my TV via an HDMI cable. I needed something small and convenient to control my PC from the couch (instead of using the too-bulky full-sized Logitech Wireless Keyboard and mouse). The Rii i8+ is the first mini-keyboard / trackpad I've tried, and I can say it works like a charm for PC users. The unit itself works right out of the box as soon as you plug in the USB receiver. It's a sturdy little thing too . . . doesn't feel cheap or flimsy in the least.
The main thing is the performance. It does its job perfectly! The Win key does exactly what I wanted (Win + P for screen options, and Shift + Win + Right Arrow to send a streaming web page to the second monitor). Also, the trackpad is far better than I expected. I have to span two monitors about 10 feet apart to make an application active or "send" it to the second screen. All it takes is a few mouse swipes and voila. The click-touch on the pad work great too. As far as the keyboard itself . . . again, I was surprised as heck at how solid and easy it is to use. You're not gonna wrote War And Peace with it, but for literally everything else you'd need a keyboard for, the Rii i8+ is excellent. It comes with a double-duty USB cable too. You can extend the receiver from your USB port if it's in the back of your PC, and the mini-plug charger is right there too. BTW--I'm using the unit about 8 to 10 feet away from the receiver, and there's absolutely no lag or latency issues, and the keys &trackpad respond instantly.
