The waffles are good, have cooked both instant waffles with powder/water and a few of the recipe recommendations in their manual and both have tasted good with a satisfactory quality. Max settings produces crispy/toasty waffles and lower settings produce softer/fluffier waffles.
Clean up has been extremely easy. A simple wipe of the exterior and removable dish-washer safe waffle plates makes it very easy to maintain compared to a non-removable plate waffle maker.
My number 1 issue I've had has been the quality of the machine feeling overall cheap.
Examples:
1) The green "ready" light doesn't work at all and the orange "cooking" light always remains on making them effectively useless since the chime noise the machine makes when the waffles are done is really how you're knowing when they're cooked.
2) The overall quality of the screws/fasteners holding the metal cooking iron to the machine feel cheap. It's a thin, cheap aluminum that has browning/staining after the very first use and it doesn't feel like they will have much longevity with repeated use. A bit of speculation here as so far there haven't been any problems so far but previous/other reviews have mentioned their machines not working after a few months. Time will tell.
3) The underside of the waffle plates have 2 sets of screws/washers/brackets/ that are screwed into the plates and used to slide and hold the plates in place on the waffle maker above the cooking iron. One of the screws on my bottom plate didn't attach properly. After the very first use this one singular screw fell off the plate. Attempting to re-screw it back in had it basically had it spinning in place and barely catching onto the pre-machined hole as if the screw was too short. I had to get rid of the washer for it to be able to re screw back onto the plate completely but unfortunately now without the washer keeping it firm and in place the bracket wobbles along with the plate on that particular side when it's clicked into place. Just an inconvenience/annoyance rather than something that affects the overall quality of the waffle/cleaning, especially when it after the very first use.
Overall. It's decent for the price but has its pros and cons The waffles are great. They're large, filling, and cook properly. No problems there so far. The cleaning is great. 100% worth it in this regard with removable plates. Pop em out, throw them into the washer and that's it. The overall quality of the machine and its parts feels subpar. Reasons as mentioned above.
