My gosh there are a lot of people taking iodine without doing any research, or knowledge, and this is NOT GOOD, and potentially dangerous to health.

Assuming you are HEALTHY and taking iodine solely as a phrophylactic (prevention and to maintain sufficient body levels), please do a little study.

The Japanese based on the latest SCIENCE STUDIES (search NIH and Pubmed) likely consume between 1 - 3 mg a day, but these estimates are not guaranteed.

Moreover Iodine has an extremely long biological half life (up to100 days in some organs) and thus can rapidly build up to very high if not toxic levels quickly if you take it every day.

The body loves homeostasis and took millions of years to evolve, but genes and polymorphism play roles.

In short be careful what you put into your mouth. Iodine deficiency is very common in much of the world and is thus a good supplement to take but only if you understand dosing and mechanisms.

There is nothing wrong with this product and it contains BOTH elemental and iodide forms used by the body.

The price is reasonable and although not as famous as Lugols 5 percent (which is more concentrated) this is a decent product.

No iodine doesn't taste good, and Selenium is worse to taste. However, without them and magnesium, Vitamin D3, Ascorbic Acid, IN THE PROPER DOSE, you can expect to be sicker than others. The Era and romantic notion of eating a healthy diet for nutrition in a toxic and soul depleted world is long gone.

    I hope this helps.
    Best in health to all.
