  Why I never got one of these sooner in my life is an absolute shock. This can opener works amazingly well. I've seen other similar ones even from the same company but those left sharp edges on tin cover or can itself. I'd prefer not to have any sharp surfaces at all and the Securimax leaves no sharp edges on the can or cover. It also cuts it in such a way that allows you to put the cover back on the can for storage in the fridge. I have only had it for a short time but so far it's worked great. The build and materials are sturdy. It's a solid kitchen tool to have. I have not had any issues with metal pieces from the cans as a result of using the opener. It is imperative that you follow the instructions on how to use it. Once you get the hang of using it, it's just like using any ordinary can opener but way better.
