Where do I start? The hot shoe plate is made of plastic as opposed to the pictures that show it as made of metal (false advertising?) and it doesn't fit (thicker and wider); you have to literally ram it in. When one spends over $2,500 on a Sony full frame camera, one ought to be very careful with attachments.
Secondly: communication with the camera is iffy to say the least. You do all setups, you ask the camera to release the flash because the room is dark and the flash won't release. What gives? It's a hit and miss, success rate is in the 50% range. You'll be missing shots for sure.
So....no. I HAD to return it and will be looking at a Sony flash. Yes, the Sony flash is expensier, but the peace of mind and knowing that you'll get the shot is priceless. Stay away from cheap copycats. You didn't buy a cheap camera and you want your memories to look good.
