- Reviewed in Canada on May 29, 2024These arrived in good condition. The packaging was undamaged, the pearls were dry, and they taste fine. I have other boba pearls from a brand I trust, and these smell the same and taste slightly blander but not significantly so. I cooked some up the day they arrived and both my roommate and I had some and they were perfectly fine. We added them to boiling water, cooked them for five minutes, then ran them under cold water for 30 seconds and they were cooked to perfection.
After reading other reviews I was really worried that this would arrive mouldy, but they were perfect. I did notice that all of the 'moldy' reviews seemed to have been left during cold weather months, so condensation might have formed from going from changing temperatures during shipping. I'll keep that in mind when ordering in the future. The other brand I use suggests putting them in a resealable bag and storing them in the freezer to avoid molding, so I'll be doing the same with these as well.Report PermalinkHelpful
