I鈥檝e have used both kinds of EBL rechargeable and one time use batteries with good results. They work as well as any off the shelf battery, and price is better. The rechargeable batteries generally have a higher mAh rating than brand name, so they do last longer. Also they can be cycled more times than others, a plus. Worth the investment. In 2013 I converted everything I own that used a battery over to rechargeable, remotes, flashlights, fish finder, label maker, stud finder, radio, work lights, and such, around 80 batteries of all sizes. It gets ridiculous how many things need a battery, I鈥檓 surprised my hammer doesn鈥檛 need one. At the time I bought off the shelf Duracell, RayOvac, and Energizer, and they worked reasonably well, but didn鈥檛 last terribly long. A couple of years ago I had to start replacing them, they were at the end of their lifespan, and tried a few EBL. Yeah, they lasted longer, so I bought a bunch more. No issues, so I would recommend them. Where I really noticed the difference was on the fish finder. It takes 8 D sized. The Energizer D鈥檚 I used to use might have made it through one day, EBL lasted more than double, yay that. They did not however, increase the number or size of the fish caught.
