Customer Review

This is a hard one for me to explain why I rated it 4 stars. Let me start with this. Overall this writer has a way with words that I haven't seen in a long time. The book is well written and very descriptive. I am not normally a fantasy reader, but I was very intrigued with the story line.
With that being said, I don't know if I am missing something here. I know that this is a popular book series and everyone is raving about it, but I am not sure if I will be continuing on with book 2. To me, the main male character is background noise. I don't even understand how he is the main character. I feel like I am missing something. I absolutely detested Tamlin throughout the whole book. Rhysand was the main character the moment he entered the story. Even Lucien would have been the better choice. I am not sure if this is done by the author on purpose, or if I am the only one who feels this way. Since I don't personally know anyone else who has read this series, I am unsure whether or not to carry on reading this series, due to the way it ended. I also can't tell if the story was built up too much before I had read it, causing me to feel this way. It truly does deserve a 5 but because of the issue with the MMC, I cannot rate it that way.
