- Reviewed in Canada on December 5, 2022This is an initial review on the delivery and assembly of the Greenworks 80V two stage snowblower. I haven鈥檛 had a chance to use it yet since it hasn鈥檛 snowed since I got it. I鈥檒l update this review after my initial use and also through the winter season as I use it more.
The delivery was just slightly delayed. However, Greenworks did contact me through amazon and called me after to schedule the delivery. They were prompt to answer my follow-ups via amazon. The overall assembly was easy and pain free. The snowblower is very heavy but was extremely well packaged and only a couple of things needed assembly. There was a bit of paint scratched off where the handle bar is but everything else was in great condition. I was able to charge the battery and 鈥渢est鈥 that it started up. Haven鈥檛 gotten through all the functions & features so will add in the update after I have.
UPDATE 12/16/2022: I had a chance to use the snowblower for the first time after a snow storm in the Greater Toronto Area yesterday. The snowblower handled the heavy wet snow very well, even the extremely packed-in snow left by the street plows at the end of the driveway. I used about 60% of the battery on my driveway (3 cars wide and 2 cars deep). It can definitely throw the snow quite far. I鈥檓 still getting used to the controls, especially the shute direction adjustment. Will provide more updates after more use through the winter and if I encounter any quality problems. So far so good.
UPDATE 1/29/2024: I have now used the blower slightly more than one winter. It works well with even the heaviest snow we鈥檝e gotten. Even though it is extremely heavy, the ability to turn just one wheel really helps navigate the blower to go back the opposite direction. I do wish the shute was slightly easier to turn, maybe with a different mechanism, not sure though. I did have one issue with one of the three batteries not being able to charge anymore, but I received a replacement at my door 4 days after I contacted them. I have a lot of Greenworks 80V products and it was my first time using their support, and very happy with the experience.
UPDATE 02/19/2025 I鈥檝e used the snow blower many times during this very stormy winter season and this snow blower is definitely up to task. The bad news is I鈥檝e had a second battery die but the Greenworks support team sent me a new battery that got delivered the very next day. Unfortunate that another battery died but feel good about their service.
