Customer Review

As someone who found the Dualshock 3 uncomfortable, I can safely say the Dualshock 4 is much better. If you have small to average sized hands you'll probably really like the Dualshock 4's feel. However; those with larger hands may find it cramped, as it is by it's nature a smaller controller.

Battery life lags behind the competition, with Sony estimating 4-8 hours of play time on a full charge. In my experience this controller tends to last 2 and a half days of intense play before a recharge is required. There's also no user replaceable battery... And the backlight can not be turned off, only dimmed.

The touchpad seams to be underutilized and takes up a huge amount of space. I could really do without it.

So, why 4 stars given my complaints? It's simple, the controller feels good to use and it does its job well. Could it be better? Sure. But of every generation of Sony controller I've used, the Dualshock 4 is my favorite. I still happen to think the 360 had a better design overall but now we're getting into subjective territory.

Also for those wondering, no it does not come with a micro USB cable, because apparently that's too much to ask for $74.00
