- Reviewed in Canada on March 3, 2024I find it quite difficult to find products that fit my narrow ear canals. I struggle to find earbuds that don鈥檛 hurt, and I can rarely wear earplugs of any kind (even the squishy foam ones) for very long because they soon become too painful.
Happily, these earplugs are the exception. They鈥檙e very soft, fit my ears perfectly, and I am able to wear them comfortably every night for 6 to 8 hours. I鈥檓 an 鈥渙mni sleeper鈥 (I sleep both on my back and sides) and they鈥檙e comfortable in any position. I often forget I鈥檓 wearing them. Relief from nighttime noise at last!
These earplugs don鈥檛 block out 100% of surrounding noise. For me, this is actually a good thing. I have pets and want to know if there is an emergency during the night. I would say they block out about 70% of surrounding noise. I have very sensitive hearing so I wouldn鈥檛 mind if it was a bit closer to 85% but 70% is good enough.
I鈥檝e been wearing the same pair for 2 months and they鈥檙e still going strong. At first I liked that these earplugs came in their own individual carrying cases, but the closing latch doesn鈥檛 last on them, unfortunately. It tends to become deformed or break right off after a few uses. I don鈥檛 really mind because I keep them in a clean, safe place anyway. But I thought I鈥檇 mention it in case it could be a deal breaker for someone.
At CAD$8 plus tax for 12 pairs, I find them very well-priced. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, but especially to those with narrow, pain-prone ear canals.
