Owned the iGrill Pro 2 for 4 years but used primarily when RVing. New grill at home, finally decided to buy the two extra probes and use again.
These probes have the 4 colour choice tubes which is good, giving me a few spares for future. I was most looking forward to getting the grill clips so the probe could sit and measure ambient temperature of the grill.
Probes are accurate and the clips work well.
Probes aren鈥檛 pointed like the original ones I have. I didn鈥檛 really take notice of that when buying but it鈥檚 a headache with raw meat. Other than thinking it鈥檚 some patent issue I can鈥檛 think why change this.
First grill test, I had my 10 year old help me clean up and he snapped the 4 storage trays together. Didn鈥檛 know they could do that but... I went to separate them (bloody tough to separate) and one of the new Weber storage holders broke in half. I thought maybe it just came apart and would snap back together. The plastic seam where the two pieces meet had no signs they were meant to come apart.
Inside the storage clip there is 1/2 round metal piece I thought it might be magnetic which would be handy but it鈥檚 just a weight. I glued the two pieces back together and functions as intended now. Thanks for helping son... 馃檮
Pros: Accurate temperature, grill clips, extra colour tubes.
Cons: Probes are not pointed, storage cradles at least in my case are flimsy. One broke on first use. Use caution if pulling apart when stacking together.
