- Reviewed in Canada on December 24, 2024Right out the gate you got buttons being registered as different buttons such as L3 being registered as a b right trigger being registered as a left trigger etc etc, you got left stick registering left as right and right as left etc, horrible user manual you got update failed every time i try to update the firmware and the list goes on. Gamesir I'm leaving you 1 star over this nonsense and i will gladly change my review if this ever gets fixed but i doubt they will.
Update: I did manged to update the firmware thru my smartphone (desktop would not work) which solved the above mentioned issues FOR THE MOST PART(there is still issues) but having product breaking bugs like that right out the gate is inexcusable. Gamesir you got a product with a ton of potential on your hands and your blowing your chances to dominate the affordable controller market with things like simple to fix software issues, unreachable customer support and horrid user manuals. The build quality of this controller feels on par with some 3rd party controllers that cost 300 dollars and you could destroy these companies that overcharge for controllers but you need to get your act together asap before another company that can provide things like user friendly manuals, supports their products after release, provides software that functions etc etc takes your place. I have updated to 3 stars but what a way to ruin an otherwise good product, for shame.
Another update: 3 and a half months later I now have the right back button completely broken and lb is on the verge of giving out as well and am about to start a warranty request. 1000 hz polling rate is also only available in xbox mode, unable to save custom profiles which should be standard for any pro controller, gamesir have not submitted one single firmware upgrade since I bought it to iron out the kinks which it is in badly need of. There is soo much wrong with this controller after spending more time with it that I am downgrading this review to 2 stars, gamesir get your noddles together for the love of god!! they had a one hit wonder with the g7se and rested on they're laurels ever since!! typical chinese company practice.
