Hydrating, no reaction, a little pricey for a regular skincare routine, but great for special events

As a woman of a certain age and a certain amount of vanity, I鈥檝e been trying my fair share of products in efforts of staving off the effects of the aging process, nothing extreme though, masks and eye patches are among the easiest, low effort and affordable methods I frequently try. Hydration seems to be the focus and collagen is popular both as skincare and as an investable supplement, so I was happy to give this collagen mask a try.
This mask is unique in that it鈥檚 designed to be worn over night, and if that鈥檚 not possible, at least 3-4 hours, this means making sure your bedding, pajamas are prepared for the moisture that inevitably get all over the place, this is not something you want to get all over your hair, unless you鈥檙e washing your hair first thing in the morning.
My first attempt at this mask was a little tricky, it鈥檚 also unique in that it鈥檚 separated and applied in 2 separate pieces, upper and lower face masks, in some ways easier that typical masks, but ultimately something you just need to get practice at to get used to. It鈥檚 also very very moist which is good for your skin, but not easy for application.
I found this mask very very hydrating, I wish it wasn鈥檛 so hard to achieve this amount of hydration, but moisturizer application on its own can only do so much! The effects of a mask application are great, but temporary, these would be great to do before an event when you want to look and feel your best, but don鈥檛 expect long term benefits.
The package indicates an expiration date which I don鈥檛 think I鈥檝e seen on masks before, but there is lots of time left with these, they鈥檙e best used by December 2027.
These are well-made masks with great results (and no skin sensitivity or reaction for me) but they鈥檙e definitely quite pricey, ~$27 (at time of review) for 4 masks is quite an investment as far as masks go, but as far as the range of skincare products and procedures goes, it鈥檚 on the lower end. I think these are great to save for big events like a wedding or a trip or photos, I can鈥檛 seen spending this amount to include into a nightly or even weekly skincare routine.
