It lasts a good long time, but if you're doing like a long long photo shoot or you're doing like an extended, let's say hour plus video. I'm not sure it'll make it through the whole number of hours. It's more of a scene setter. This is a great light for setting scenes for like a fireplace scene or a candlelit scene or specific lighting conditions, and it is also a really good ring light substitute. But just keep in mind you're going to have to keep it either plugged in all the time. Or you're going to have to have a battery backup on hand because the battery will die if you're shooting for hours
