Customer Review

Edit: Now, it's working great. I had support through the AAwireless reddit. Not really how it end up working though. It seems to be working since I plugged my phone with a cable for a long drive. After that, the AAwireless feature that auto-standby the device was working flawlessly.

I bought that device because the USB port of my car sometimes turn on when the car is off. I was interested by the auto-standby feature which, at my surprise, wasn't on the AAwireless2. It was only on the previous version. Reading some post here, I notice that the feature is in Beta 4.5 on AAwireless2, which I installed. But I can't make it work.

The device is working properly when I use the button to make it go to standby mode manually. When I enable auto-standby and select my car handsfree, it doesn't work. When my car hands free is disconnected from my phone, I can see the app trying to auto-standby the device but it doesn't work. The device stays on. I still have to make it go to standby with the button.

I reached out to the company by email last week through the AAwireless website contact information. I received an answer the next opening day with only the following solution: Use the button to go to standby mode. I paid twice as much on this product instead of going for a knockoff brand to get that feature.

So for now, my rating is 3 stars. As soon as it is fix, I'll be happy to change that review. For now, I just regret not going for the older version of AAwireless (which seems to work for others) or a cheaper knockoff with a Y splitter and a USB power blocker. I just wish it'll be possible to return it if it doesn't work.
